LEAN in the Field = Added Value for our Customers

LEANThanks to everyone’s continuous involvement in our LEAN initiative, we have submitted over 600 ideas so far this year, saving more than $200,000! These numbers are proof of the positive impact we can have when we work together to incorporate LEAN processes in the office, in our shops and in the field. This year, we also have the opportunity to work with our union partner the United Association (UA) to make an even bigger LEAN impact in the field. The UA, which is the national association of plumbers, fitters, welders and service technicians of the U.S. and Canada, recently announced that they will be putting more emphasis on the LEAN construction approach. Their goal—to help customers be successful by ensuring their projects are delivered on time and on budget. “The UA’s focus on LEAN emphasizes the importance for leading companies to value their employees and focus on the customer,” said Bryan Decker, our LEAN Champion. “McKenney’s understands the value LEAN brings to a jobsite, and we will continue to be a leader along with our partner the UA.”

Let’s continue driving LEAN improvements in the field and in all areas of our business, and together we can take our projects, our company and our industry to the next level of LEAN!
