Description:
Designer shall work in a team environment to develop mechanical piping shop drawings fully coordinated with the architectural & structural elements of the building and the other building trades (sprinkler, sheet metal, plumbing, etc.).

Experience Required:
REQUIRED • Working Knowledge of AutoCAD 2000 or higher. • Working knowledge of 3-D drafting packages. • Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural construction documents. • 1-3 years' experience in drafting or vocational drafting certificate. • Strong written and verbal communication skills. • Commitment to detail and deadlines. • Must have a professional appearance. • Ability to use time productively, maximize efficiency, and meet challenging work goals • Ability to take on additional responsibilities as needed as well as determine and manage priorities with minimal guidance. • Must possess and maintain exceptional work ethic as well as uphold company values and demand the highest standard of conduct from self and others. • Must have basic PC experience in Windows environments, working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, e-mail, Web-enabled applications, and database software • Must be a self-starter, with ability to work well as part of a team and independently • High school diploma or GED PREFERRED • Experience with mechanical piping drafting or piping installation. • Experience with design aspects such as pipe sizing and standard practices for piping installation. • Ability to visualize three-dimensional layouts from two-dimensional drawings. • Associate’s degree in related field
