The Athens Regional Medical Center project is a multiphase build that includes construction, expansion, and mechanical installations. Begun in 2005 and completed in June 2008, the project consisted of adding a new east tower, expanding the existing central plant, and building a new parking deck. McKenney’s has also added or expanded 12 different mechanical systems—including steam, chilled water, fuel oil, and medical gases—and installed a total of three new chillers, 11 air handlers, 15 pumps, 47 fans and more than 300 plumbing fixtures.
