St. Joseph’s Translational Research Institute in a new 31,000-square-foot medical research facility built in conjunction with Georgia Tech. The project includes a vivarium, surgical and procedural spaces, research and service labs, and a necropsy area. Equipment includes two chillers, two boilers, and three 100 percent outside air units with energy recovery units. Additional systems installed by McKenney’s include natural gas, steam, chilled water, high-temperature hot water, medical air, oxygen, medical vacuum, nitrogen oxide, nitrogen, and reverse osmosis water.
